Here at Odyssey we are extremely proud to bring the International Tae Kwon-Do Kubz Programme to Strathaven! Far more than a Martial Arts programme, these kids classes are taught all over the globe from the UK to New Zealand and the Caribbean.
The genius of the programme is the way in which it helps to develop age and stage appropriate life skills: “Stop, Look and Listen” communication, conflict resolution, discipline, and confidence alongside impressive Tae Kwon–Do skills taught step by step that will empower your child’s spirit.
“The Magic Triangle” brings together parents with nursery/school teachers and Tae Kwon–Do Instructors, all working together with your child’s growth in mind.

This is the next step after the Kubz Programme, for children aged 7-11 and a great time to start Tae Kwon–Do.
Our Junior Tae Kwon-Do classes are a fantastic way for children to explore and develop lifelong skills that will put them a step ahead through all stages of growing up.
Our team at Odyssey will keep your child engaged, challenged and enthused as they work their way up to earning a black belt and beyond.
At this age we start to introduce competitions, where your child will have the opportunity, if they feel comfortable, to take part in Sparring, Pattern and Special Technique. We encourage your children to be the best they can be!
At each step we build the programme to suit your child and their needs.
TEENS & ADULTS

Whether you are a teenager, Mum, Dad or Grandparent we have the right class for you. Our instructors can tailor a class for all fitness levels and abilities. We can’t wait for you to enjoy the energy and passion of our incredible team! Whether you wish to train at competition level or simply want to learn a new skill and meet some new friends, we are the club for you!
Tae Kwon-Do is fun and great for full body conditioning. Practicing a martial art such as Tae Kwon-Do builds self-confidence and discipline.

Our 1-1 personal coaching sessions are open to all our students and everyone uses them for different reasons.
Wether you are looking for extra support training for a specific competition or are looking to do some additional work on a particular move or pattern we are here to help you develop your skills at your pace.

All of our classes are based at our home in the Town Mill in Strathaven but we can also bring Odyssey on the road to you!
We currently run weekly classes in a local care home to bring the benefits of Taekwon-do to the local residents and we also offer classes and trials to local schools, nurseries, playgroups and holiday clubs.
We want to give back to our local community so please get in touch to see how we can get involved with your club or event.

We offer membership packages for each type of class. These are unlimited so allow you to attend as few or as many classes from our timetable as you like.

We offer several free classes before we sign anyone up to our memberships so that we can make sure that Odyssey is the right fit for your family.

As a mum myself I understand how much the cost of activities can add up (especially with multiple kids). We offer sibling discounts on all our memberships and also offer discounts to any parents who want to join our Adult fitness or taekwon-do classes.
